What I did is generating a payment link and opening that link in a browser… I am not sure how the browser would know that I have an account

It can be checked (I suppose) when you’re creating the link- if you’re choosing from contact list the app knows if phone number linked to contact is revolut user or not

Oh, I see what you mean, but when you use “Request via payment link” you only enter an amount and then you get a link. I didn’t specify any payee.

hmmm in my case there is no possibility to ask for money without choosing the person.
To use it I have to go to:
Payments> ask for money> [here i have to choose the person]
In that case i can see (the app too ) if recipient is revolut user or not…
