@robdcon Hello, Welcome to the community. We are sorry to hear about this. 
Have you tried following the below steps? 
- Take the photo in good lighting
- Remove glasses and hats
- You must be the only person in the frame
- Make sure camera/microphone access is enabled for Revolut
- Position your face in the oval
- Follow the guidelines and adjust as needed
