Hello @dannychampoftworld Welcome to the community. :sunflower:

Thank you for raising this query with us. Since your son will be spending Euros in France for a month, it’s generally recommended to convert some Pounds (GBP) to Euros (EUR) in advance for his trip. By converting some money upfront, he can potentially get a more favorable exchange rate.

Please note that using his Revolut card directly for purchases in France will automatically convert GBP to EUR at the current exchange rate.

For more information on paying with Revolut while travelling please check here.

Hope this helps. Happy and safe travels. :airplane:

Hey there!

For your son’s trip to France with his Revolut standard card, he has two options:

  1. Deposit GBP and let the card convert automatically: He can deposit British pounds (GBP) and spend in France. Revolut will convert the pounds to Euros (EUR) at the current rate during each purchase.
  2. Deposit GBP and exchange to Euros in advance: He can deposit GBP, use the Revolut app to exchange to Euros (EUR) ahead of time, and spend directly in Euros.

Tip: Exchanging to Euros during weekdays can avoid small weekend fees.

Hope this helps!
