On a loosely related note, most Swiss banks issue a Maestro debit card, with their bank accounts, which does not allow you to buy items online. The Revolut App is unable to recognise the card number format of these cards so you are forced to use a bank account to top up. Obviously this is an issue with the Swiss banking system rather than Revolut.
