Verification –Why the Extra Steps for a Business Account?

I’ve already set up a Revolut Personal Account where I was able to be verified automatically, without having to submit any photo ID, etc.

I’d also like to open a Revolut Business Account. However, when I try to do so, after filling in all my details, I am asked to verify my identity by uploading passport or government photo ID. Why can I not have my identity verified automatically for a business account, in the same way I can for a current account?

Hi @stuzbot - there are different regulatory requirements for private and business accounts which is what causes this.

Thanks for choosing to use Revolut!

There isn’t an alternative way to do verification?
I don’t like to make photos from my ID and upload them (to anywhere).

Use a local high street bank instead?

Is there some link where can I find what documents will be asked for as an Romanian PFA / II type of company and if those are eligible for freelancer account ?
