Hi, I am new to revolut. If I use my card in USA (I am based in UK) is there a fee charged?

Am I better exchanging the currency on the app first from UK £ to USA $ or just use the card and let it automatically be done?

Well. That depends. With exchanging beforehand, you can avoid the weekend markup on the rate. But currency markets also can change to your disadvantage. With exchanging beforehand, you might have bought currency at a higher rate. It is a matter of personal taste more or less.

Whey you are planing to spend money on the weekend, it is better to exchange before spending, on the week, auto exchange is working excellent - good exchange rates!
