Universal Browser Extension

You could say the same about the interbank exchange rate

None of them offer a disposable one time virtual card. This breaks all password managers. You just don’t need this if you can use your OS’s built in password keychain or an app like 1Password.

It is a very unique situation where the user experience of a product that is perfect for online shopping (disposable cards) is worse compared to any regular card when shopping online.

I guess Google Chrome is most well known for extensions, but Chrome is based on Chromium and I never thought browser extensions were a Google-specific thing?

Well, Firefox already had extensions when Chrome was still in its diapers. That being said, a common standard for an extension is not bad as it allows it to be easily ported, but it does show a certainy tendency if everyone adopts Google’s limited interface.

Long live browser monoculture

Well said Frank, Look at the BIG picture.
