Tried to top up the card in time for going away but unable to do so as the payment card needs verifying
Have the code from the £1 transaction sent a while ago but thes fails to be accepted against this card.
In limbo now.
Online chat takes forever. got a reply hours after posted message when wait time was 20 minutes but I wasn’t around to chat at that time.
You do not need to verify the card at this time, it is too new. Card verification is not required to make a top up, and you need to actually have a successful top up made to see the correct code. The 1GBP is just a reverted authorisation that is used to add the card initially. So you should be able to top up the account as normal without this step for the time being!
Strangely it is now working.
