Travelling in India

Travelling in Rajasthan. Generally Revolut works well at excellent exchange rate to Rupee (today c.91 to GBP). But there are some vendors who do not allow you to use the Revolut rate and stitch you up with their in-house rate. (e.g. Claridges, Delhi). Also at an SBI ATM yesterday I got the Dynamic Conversion rate (i.e. their rate) of c 85. I’m reasonably savvy at getting billed in local currency but here in India some operators seem to be able to game the system.

Hmm, the amount was in INR, right? In that case I wonder if you can refuse a forced conversion - after all the price is INR and not GBP - unless they want to get into a good old flag discussion once more
