Topped up with 2 currencies but at withdrawal...

Hello,

Just recieved my Revolut Mastercard, it looks great. I have topped up my account with 2 currencies. Lei and Euro. At withdrawal i requested more then i had topped up. I asked the ATM for 50 Lei but had on the account 35 Lei and some more Euros. I wold have expected it to take the 35 Lei which was already there in the local currency and take the rest from Euro!?
Why does it behave like that, and what’s the general rule in such situations? If i would have had enough Lei would it have used this currency?

Thanks in advance,
Peter

If I’m not mistaken the order is as follows:

  1. Transaction currency (assuming it’s enough to cover the whole transaction)
  2. Main currency (assuming it’s enough to cover the whole transaction)
  3. Currency with enough funds (assuming it’s enough to cover the whole transaction)
  4. Refuse the transaction

Aaah, ok, will keep that in mine. Will do a test by buying a pack of cigarettes …
Thanks
