going to Korea in a few weeks. I was just wondering if using the Revolut card there was not a problem… I’m planning to use is as my main payment method.
Let me know!

It should work just fine. But when travelling you should always take at least one other card with you. Also make sure you are ready by reading this article

Yes it works but activate magstrip payments

Thanks, how do I do that?

Go to the “Cards” tab and tap “Security” underneath your card. Then you have different options.

Hi Cedric,

Below is a link to my feedback in another thread after using my Revolut card in Korea fr 2 weeks in February 2018, hope you can find some useful advice there !

Does this still work? It seems revolut removed the option to exchange money into Won? :frowning:

You can’t exchange money into KRW in advance and AFAIK have never been able to.

However you can still use your card to pay in Korea regardless. Just note on weekends there will be a 1% markup applied to transactions.

To avoid this you could get something like Starling (UK users) or Bunq Premium Trial (Eurozone users) which will exchange at a similar rate to Revolut without the markup.
