Revolut simplifies exchange fees

Received the following email today:

=======
We’ve been working hard to make our exchange fees for our prepaid cards easier to understand. You can read about it fully in the updated Cardholder Agreement, provided for your review, via this link.

These changes will take effect on August 14 2021 .

Exchanging money currencies and crypto

Currently, we may add a percentage (markup) to exchange rates or charge you a fee.

Going forward:

  • You will always see the real exchange rate, based on foreign market data feeds from a range of different independent resources. We won’t add markups to any exchange
  • We will show you exactly how much we’re charging you in fees in the app before you confirm a transaction (if applicable)
  • You will see the total cost of your transaction
  • The Fee Schedule now also includes a separate column showing the fees applicable to the Junior Account

The new version of our Retail terms and conditions and the fees pages included in those terms for each plan will take effect on August 14, 2021 . By continuing to use your Card on or after that date you are agreeing to the indicated changes. If you’d like to close your account because of these changes, you can do so before August 14, 2021 without charge, but we’ll be sad to see you go.

Thanks,
Team Revolut
