Why revolut just cannot buy some small existing bank in EU and rebrand it under revolut name? Waiting for own licence seems to take forever.

Have you seen Tandem? Relatively sure their banking licence got revoked for some time.
I’m sure Revolut would rather do it all on their own and be sure that they’re ready for it themselves, rather than try force something that hasn’t come naturally.
