I hear about this business named Yoti (www.yoti.com) which are trying to build up some kind of identity verification business. Basically they want you to scan and upload your passport, and a few other things, then they offer service to verify your identity if a third party requests that.
Sort of quite a good idea but I can see a few obstacles for them. People are not just going to say hey what a great idea and now I will upload my passport info to a random website I never heard of.
So anyway, considering that Revolut has already done the passport scan as part of money laundering checks then why not try the same business idea as Yoti? Revolut would already have an advantage.
