Reset passcode problem

I am having a problem trying to login on a new phone so i am trying to reset my passcode.

I have tried numerous times via forgot pass code. I get “something went wrong” each time after I enter a new pass code. I cannot work out how to get anonymous chat since there appears to be no chat since I cannot login.
I’ve also done the clear cache and uninstall reinstall but that doesn’t help.

Please someone help…

It keeps saying “Something went wrong; The verification code, email or phone number is incorrect.” No matter how many “Create passcode” tries I do. I’ve kept trying this access retrieving without any success for far too long and support team after a couple of support tickets hasn’t been any help either. Feels like the funds got stolen.

I have exactly the same issue with @nski214 . It keeps saying something “Something went wrong; The verification code, email or phone number is incorrect.” at the step of creating a passcode. I talked with revoluts agents but now I cannot even access the chat app to continue chatting with them. I have reinstalled, updated, rebooted my phone everything. Feels honestly like a scam. I have revolut for 3 years now and I never experienced such an issue when I needed to create a new passcode. this is horrible.

Has anyone had any response from Revolut yet for the create passcode issue? I sent them a message to X/Twitter around 7 hours ago and all I got was an automated reply.

I have the same issue 2 months ago and no reply from Revolut.
I contact agent over the chat somehow and they told me the issue is fixed for me.
When i tried to log in show me the same issue.
I write them facebook emilsagan and no answer. In facebook they answer on other question but not on mine…

Suffering with exactly the same thing for a week or more. Had a couple of personal replies by email and was rung by someone this morning. They couldn’t resolve the issue and have forwarded it to their technical people. Sounds like they’ve seriously broken something either in an app update or on the server side.

Have currently got Spotify and Netflix moaning they haven’t been paid and, despite asking several times, no one has come up with a solution to add funds if you can’t get into the app. Have the physical card but that doesn’t have account number and sort-code on it.

To those still having problems, try again now. I gave it a go on my son’s iPhone and the reset process went perfectly, then tried the newly created passcode on my Pixel 8 and am all systems go now.

Have no idea whether it was the change of device, older OS as he’s still on 16 and I only have Pixels which are either swell out of date Android 11 or brand new 14. Revolut may have fixed my account after taking to them or may have fixed a bigger issue with the whole service.

Regardless, I am a happy bunny again.

Yes i tried and show me "The verification code, email or phone number is incorrect.

I receive the email for authorization and code on the phone, I enter the new passcode and then this error is shown.

I have tried again after reinstalling again and it still fails.

I solved it today.

I tried everything like I was instructed by the support team and I failed again. But I tried some extra steps which maybe helped me, I dont know, I am not a developer. So,

after deleting the cache,
a) I checked and updated the app (this is also suggested)
b) I rebooted ( I found this suggestion in another post)
c) I used as internet the mobile data of the sim of the phone number that I have registered.
d) reboot again (just because i thought would be nice, refresh the internet XD)
e) then try to create a new passcode but using the phone number (i dont know if with email can work). You know the process, forgotten passcode, photoID, create passcode and finally confirm.

Note: I was suprised, and also the app opened all black after my confirmation. I closed the app, reopened it, logined with the new passcode, followed some photo ID again and OTP, and then boom back to my funds.

I dont know if it helps but I suggest: repeat the process using your phone number as your login method but also as your internet access (sim in the same device with the app). reboot the device after selecting your sim as internet access, and if you see a black screen after confirmation of the new passcode, then close and open again the app. Hope it helps.

Someone from revolut support has got back to me on twitter and told me to update the app, which I did, and now it magically works. Problem solved!

I did it. I reinstall the app few times already.

I try so many times and different kind of ways, but the issue is still the same.

I have the same issue - I can’t remember my passcode so there’s no way for me to reset it.
Steps I did were as follows;

  • opened app on my phone
  • pressed ‘login’
  • added my phone number
  • pressed ‘continue’
  • pressed ‘confirm’
  • message on screen looking for me to ‘enter passcode’
  • pressed ‘forgot passcode’
  • verify identity via sms
  • then got the “we’re sorry, something has gone wrong. Please try later”.
    I’m not able to resolve this and obviously can’t use the chat feature as I can’t log in.
    Can someone help please?!

I also have problem with passcode, system won’t respond to verification of ID or update my contact details. No access to app or online account. With numerous messages on FB messenger responsive but problem still remains even though I’ve followed all the instructions. :frowning:
