Problem if not able to receive SMS

I have a problem. Sweaty finger meant fingerprint not recognised. App then seeks verification code sent through SMS but no ability to receive SMS currently. Mobile service provider doesn’t have roaming agreement in Sri Lanka. Cannot use support on app as need to put in the verification code.
There doesn’t seem to be any way to contact support outside the app?
There should be an ability to use non SMS verification.

I have the same problem! Would really appreciate some help to get back into the app! Is there also a way to receive a verification code to help change mobile number if we can’t receive it on the old number?

I am having the same problem. I am unable to receive the verification code as I am in Vietnam with no signal. How do I resolve the problem?

I can’t receive sms code to set up the Revolut app on my new phone.

I had it all set up before I came to China, then I had to buy a new phone and a new SIM card since I couldnt get mobile connection with the old one.

Hope Revolut will offer support for verification code by apps like Google Authenticator or Authy. These apps works without Internet or phone services.

Same problem here (again). I am in China and I only receive SMS verification code when it sends from a Hong Kong or China 2FA number. If I’m lucky I can receive one after 100 attempts. Could you force SMS to be sent through HK number for users with a Chinese index number?

Same problem from within P.R.China.

Hello. I have a similar problem. My girlfriend made a card because we are travelling for 3 months in southeast Asia. When we arrived to Cambodia we discovered she couldn’t receive any messages/calls in phone abroad because of the card’s payment plan, but the app was ok and I could receive messages and calls so we didn’t care. The big problem is China: the app went crazy because of the censorship they do to the internet. It’s blocked and because we followed your instructions to get out and get in again, now we are stuck outside the app. She can’t receive messages/calls, so she can’t enter the app. I have VPN for normal internet but the help chat blocks less than five minutes after we start a conversation. What can we do? We really need help! Can you send me a private message or tell us what to do?

Same situation, in the US with no reception so can’t receive the sms. Could the 6 digit verification code be pm’d to me here?

I am facing the same problem. Downloaded the app for the first time and added my mobile number, and never received the verification code.

I tried many times and now it says my number is banned.

I believe the core problem is that at Revolut they may not have considered that sometimes we are not able to receive SMS. Which is weird as Revolut meant to be for travellers. There are many countries around the world when roaming doesn’t work because there is no agreement in place between the phone network providers.

I have also complained several times at the support with no real success. I believe it’s an important thing they need to consider somehow. Not everybody travels only in Europe. There are many other destinations be it for tourism or for work.
