Payment currency Order

#1

Hi everyone.

I don’t read anywhere the same answer.

Having a certain amount of money on three differents currencies, let’s say : eur, usd & chf.
If I use my mastercard :
It will firstly try to use the one where I geolocaly am. E.g. In the USA, it will spend USD.
But if I don’t have enough USD. Then it will use the account where there is the biggest amount.
Is this right ?

What if I am in a country where I don’t have the currency ( Chile ? ). Will it use USD first, then, if it can’t, goes to the biggest account ?
OR it goes with the biggest account anyway ?

Will it be a way in the future to manualy choose which currency we want to use ?

Thanks

Hey there! Please refer to the FAQ:

The card selects which balance to use in the following order:

*The local currency of the merchant/ATM e.g. if you are in Spain, it will deduct funds from your Euro balance.

*Your base currency - i.e. if you used a UK address to sign-up, your base currency will be GBP.

*Your largest balance.

You need to have sufficient funds in one single balance in order to make a transaction. If you don’t have enough funds in the balance of the local currency, it will default to your next largest balance and so on.
