New user, forced to take picture?

Hi there,

I’m a new user and I noted that I can’t upload a pre-existing picture of my passport to prove my identify. (I need those damn things so often I keep a secured copy online.) So I’m forced to take picture of my paperwork (which, in my case, means I’ll have to wait until I get tomorrow).

I guess that’s deliberate, so as to try to prevent identify theft or or such? Just wondering.

Yes, the thing is they need to see that you‘re in possession of a document. In many EU countries, that’s the reason why they only do video identification.
