Just had a notification that as of March Wirecard will no longer be the issuer of my card but :r: instead. I have both a Wirecard issued M/C and a :r: issued VISA card. Does this mean the Wirecard one will no longer be valid?
As far as I know-no, it doesn’t mean this
Only some small changes in the T&C but don’t expect it will have huge differents.
No it doesn’t mean that 
It’s means that we will now issue cards directly and not via a third-party. You will still be able to use your card until it expires.
