New account already registered

Is it possible to open a business account for a soccer team. we dont have a business number

I have exactly this same issue.

In the Revolut Team section, we have the Manage roles button where we should be able to manage Team roles. When I try to add my accountant email I realize that her email already exists in Revolu( which makes sense. She is an Accountant).

So first I review the help section and I found this :
“Enter the email addresses of members you want to send invitations to. Email addresses must not be registered with any other Revolut Business account. If you are receiving an error, please tell the invitee to contact us or complete a support request here”

So I did.

Then support respond to me :
Thanks for waiting. I have reviewed your concern, and it seems that the email address you’re using to invite them is already registered to another Revolut Business account.

Please ask them to clarify if they have another Revolut Business account associated with this email address.

In this case, you need to use another email address to invite them as one (1) email address can not be used for two (2) Revolut Business accounts.

Summarise :

  1. we are not able to add any member who has a revolut account
  2. section “Manage roles” is unuseful
  3. Team section should be removed (we are not able to use it in any way).
  • a simple scenario for an accountant case. The accountant has his own Revolut business, he has 100 customers (like me) who want to add him (as an accountant) to My revolut account. In this case :
    the first accountant need to create a new (fake/unuseful 100 email per customer),
    Second: I will be able to add him to my account
    Third: Accountant will have 101 revolut accounts (one his real one and 100 customers).

Do you think this is a proper workflow?
I just want simply add my accountant to my revolut business account, set up permission as an accountant and give him chance to review all my business expenses…
I believe section TEAM and MANAGE ROLES is for this or I’m wrong ???

Thanks for confirming. In this case, if this person has their Revolut Business account with this email address, I’m afraid that it is not possible to use this email address to invite them as an “Accountant” of your Business account.

Please ask them to provide another email address, where you can send them an invitation.

do you know an accountant who has 100 customers and all customers have revolut accounts? in this case, the accountant should have 101 email addresses (one personal and one each for the customer ) this is wrong…

I can understand this might not be convenient for you. However, I’m afraid to inform you that it is not possible to use one (1) email address for two or more accounts.

I’m not asking to add another member as a regular member to use my account. I’m asking to add a member who will be on my account and, where you provide special permission for a member

so I want to add an existing email (which my accountant uses as his business email) to view all my business expenses and I will set up his email as an accountant (not a regular team user). I think for this case is a description on the help section to contact you? correct?

I will not request any credit card or permit spend money for my accountant

Yes, I completely understand your concern. However, to invite a new team member to your account, you need a fresh email address that is not registered to any Revolut Business account.

Hello, I sent a mail to feedback@revolut.com and this is the answer I got:
“Hi there,
As currently I provide support for our Personal Accounts, I’m afraid I might not be fully equipped to answer all of the questions you might have about our Business Accounts, no worries though. The best way to get this process started is visiting our website Open a Business Account Online | No Monthly Fees | Revolut Business . In the top right corner you will find a HELP button - There you can find an extensive list of the most frequently asked questions.”

Could you please indicate an email that could help for business accounts ? Thanks

This is the only email address I’m aware of and I have used it for my business account in the past and got a quick and friendly response. Although that was for actual feedback…

Have you tried the “contact sales” button next to the “join now” button on the business page? That’s the only other way apart from social media I can think of. As you know from the post you replied to, we’re only customers here, I don’t have any privileged information.

The support invited me to fill this formular: Meet with the Revolut Sales Team.
It is in fact the link behind the button “contact sales” on the main page of the website.
I’m waiting for their answer. I’m just a bit surprised because this link looks more like a lead formular for business developers than a technical request from the support.

Follow up: almost 3 weeks after filling the formular (Meet with the Revolut Sales Team) as requested by the support team, I still don’t have any feedback from Revolut.

I am trying to set up a business account but am getting the same error message “this business is already registered”. It is possible that it already is so how do I take ownership of this account (I suspect the person who set it up has left and there are no login details in our password manager)

It is still pending.

I have already tried it and there was no reply. I have filled in the form again and submitted it. Is there a way to reach out directly to a team member to arrange a call or at least direct email communication?

I’ve managed to get through. I was trying to login with the wrong email address. When I tried to login with the right email address everything was already there… Dwarfs were very busy :slight_smile:

I need to compliment the support stuff, they were very kind and finally managed to persuade me to try to login with another email address…
