LHV Bank not recognizing EUR IBAN from Revolut


Me and my partner are trying to top up our Revolut euro bank accounts via bank transfer from LHV, but we keep on getting a error that the IBAN is not recognized as being in the SEPA area.

My account starts with GB98 and my partner’s with GB04.

Are you guys having that problem? Can somebody help?


Your bank may be using an outdated database. Let them update.


Same problem (I think) with INGDirect bank in Spain. I paste the my Revolut IBAN and it says “formato no valido” which means (who knew :slight_smile: “format not valid”. I will try to tell them they are “using an outdated database”. Who would like to bet ING will thank me for my helpful feedback?
