You can finally set a >= 6 digit pass code on iOS. When will this land in the Android app? What happens if I set a 6 digit pass code on my iPhone, can I still login with pass code on my Android phone?

Sorry, please ignore my previous questions. :slight_smile: I had to manually check for Revolut update on my Android device. After updating to version 9.3.1 I can set a 6-12 digit pass code.

I would agree with this, but 8 PIN is more most secure just like iPhone that allows you to enter more than 100x digits.

But ATM has supported from 4 digits to up to 12 digits.

I’d go with 12 digits if Revolut add that one feature for creditcard digit system.

Hi all!

I just would like to suggest the optional password to Revolut. I mean that customer can choose, is only PIN (5 digits) okay or is the password (combination on letters, numbers and special characters) better. This would be a good and safe idea I think :slight_smile:

While this sounds convincing, I don’t think it’s critical. You can already use a 12 digit passcode. Brute force is mitigated by time restrictions. Most users use OS biometrics. More complicated passcodes wouldn’t necessarily make the account more secure. But they would most likely result in more people forgetting their passcodes. Or it would come with additional risks like users using a complex passcode, but using it for more than one online account.

Passcode brute force isn’t the biggest security threat. Social engineering and fishing are. Complex passcodes do not help here.
