Is active phone nr necessary to maintain the account.

Hi there! I am new to Revolut and have a question as is the subject. Is the phone number obligatory to use the app later on, after the registration, or maybe it can be reaplaced with email or sth? We are planning to lounch a Revolut account with a group of friends, just to regularly collect money within our group and buy coffee for it .

You need to have access to the phone number. Losing it would mean:

  • inability to login
  • restricted account functionality


Access to text messages sent to a phone is needed for occasional 2FA. Right now, it can’t be replaced with email.
