IBAN discrimination in Germany

Hi, I have a credit balance on my last electricity bill, but VATTENFALL refuses to pay out to my Revolut account (LT04 …), because it is not a german bank account, thats what they told me today by telephone. I know that they are legally required to accept every EU bank account, but what can I do? Request by letter or should I hire a lawyer? Has anyone any experiences in such cases?

The Wettbewerbszentrale is responsible for this.

More information also here:

Hopefully, informing Vattenfall that you’re going to file a complaint with them will solve the problem for you already.

@Frank, just faxed a letter with a request for immediate payout and an explanation of IBAN discrimination to Vattenfall, also reported the case to the competition center (Wettbewerbszentrale), as suggested. Now I’m waiting.
Thank you!

Yes, it was helpful, but I can’t mark one of the answers as solution, because every answer was the solution!
