Holding money in other currencies!

Hi would like to hold money in New Zealand dollars in my account like you currently offer with euros and US dollars. When will customers be able to hold money in different currencies? Thanks

Hello @ShaneT,

We’re currently working on adding more base currencies.
Rest assured more base currencies will be added really soon. Just a little bit more patience

Any update on more currencies pls? I would really like to hold money in NZD! Thanks

Hello Community. Can you hold USD in a Revolut account having purchased the dollars at a great rate from GBP?

Say I purchased $500 and it cost £395, does that dollar hold its original purchased value or does Revolut work in a totally different way than I am questioning?

I am not yet a Revolut user.

The $500 are worth $500 (and always will be) since it’s USD and not GBP anymore.
Revolut works like a collection of bank accounts in different currencies in one package.

Thank you. To clarify, is it free to exchange gbp to usd and hold in Revolut? If the gbp to usd rate was £1 = $1.32, could I convert £500 into usd at that rate and hold the dollars in Revolut?

Is this a way of taking advantage of good exchange rates?

Thank you.

This is a fun site: https://www.revolut.com/en-DE/help/exploring-revolut

Yes, yes and yes

free within limits: https://www.revolut.com/legal/fees

also keep in mind it must be your own money, you can’t use revolut to exchange currency for other people.
