Lithuania is sort of new base for Revolut and they did a lot of marketing there (for example, gave away free revolut cards (noname, without name/surname) in airport and in different local events. As a result general population awareness about Revolut is much better in LT than in LV.
That was quite a bit of time ago, so we can only speculate how the numbers evolved since then. Probably the growth tappered off as from the beginning the only thing revolut had going for it in Portugal was the no fee fx and the novelty value, which gave the initial boost. Then in August or September (I think I watched a rerun) there was a report on tv channel SIC talking about Revolut user complaints as the card doesn’t work at some merchants and has ATM fees and limits, something that simply not a thing here in Portugal and people don’t even know what ATM fees are. Since then I’ve been receiving a lot of promos from revolut specifically targeted to Portuguese users, so that leads me to believe user growth has significantly slowed. My best guess is 65000
PS: @stumpy The article specifically says Portugal is the 8th biggest market for Revolut and the article is from January 17th. Don’t forget it says “over” 100000 so we don’t know the exact number
