Thanks for your reply. So why are all purchases done in UKP when I have sufficient funds in my $ and € accounts to cover payment in the currency of the shop? There seems to be an unnecessary, and poor, exchange rate applied each time.

Sounds like you’ve been affected by DCC.

So if for example I deposit GBP then transfer into HKD and have a HKD balance, when I spend using the virtual card in HKD will it deduct from the HKD balance? Is that how this works?
