New user here. I was wandering if it would be possible to switch back and forth from premium to standard and back. The idea is that from time to time i would like to use the virtual cards feature, so i would be happy to activate the premium option for a month and then cancel it because normally i don’t really need the extra options.

There is a monthly plan for Premium giving you the option to cancel at a £14 cost - you can’t turn it in and off as you want however.
You can add a virtual card as part of the normal membership - you don’t need to be a premium member.
Just to be exact- you have 14 (13) days to cancel your premium account:
