Can a payment reference be added to a pending SEPA transfer?

Hi, I have just sent a SEPA transfer from my Revolut account to a business but I forgot to enter the reference I was supposed to include with it.

The transfer is still pending, so I’ve gone into it and added the reference in the ‘text note’ field. Will that text be visible to the recipient, or do I need to get it cancelled and re-sent?

Thanks - I did get a response from support although they didn’t really give a clear answer to my question… but in any case they cancelled the pending SEPA and I re-sent it with the correct reference so all sorted.
