bank transfer Top up

Hi,

Just opened a Revolut account and my question is as follows:

Can my employer top up my card via bank transfer or the account holder of the sender must be the same than the beneficiary’s? or said differently can a third party top up my account or fund must necessarily come from my bank account?

If you are a UK citizen your employer can send you money using your UK sort code otherwise it’s not allowed.

Thanks for your response. I’m not UK resident, only work in the UK, but I’m European Union citizen. Not sure if such fact will change the response. Best. AGB

Please check the details the app shows you for top ups via transfers: if it tells you not to forget the reference code, 3rd party transfers are not possible. If you get “details for your personal UK current account”, 3rd party transfers are possible :slight_smile:
