I’m fairly new to this so sorry if this is a basic question.
I was trying to top up my Revolut card using bank transfer, but my bank’s netbanking website automatically fills the SWIFT code with LOYDGB2L instead of Revolut’s LOYDGB21F09.
Yes, it should work. The IBAN itself is designed to contain all necessary informations already. Therefore, most online banking systems derive the BIC code from the IBAN. My online banking replaces the BIC with “LOYDGB2LXXX”. I can confirm that this BIC works totally fine for me.
(The Xs are just filling the blanks here, “LOYDGB2L” is the same as “LOYDGB2LXXX”.)
