I’ve sent € to my Coinbase accounts wallet but the money is still pending and it has been for 2 days now. Is this common that transfers take as long as this? Does the same apply when receiving money?

Yes, it is common in this case. Two days ago, it was a Friday. The transfer is executed in the same day or the next working one.
Therefore, if you did it on a Friday, it will be executed tomorrow (as with any other bank)
