ATM fees in UK

Do the fees for ATM withdrawal after the first 200 apply in UK ?
I mean will I get charged for withdrawing my money in UK even though my account is in GBP and I live in UK ?

Hey @mcgrother

Yes, it does apply everywhere, regardless of your country of residence or the country you withdraw at.

That’s a real bummer. I was going to use revolut as my sole banking card home and abroad but not if I am charged fees.

Hi there.

Thank you for contacting us.

ATM withdrawals are particular expensive for us.

At the moment, ATM usage is free for up to £200 (€200/ $200/ Fr 200/ 800zl/ 1,500DKK / 2,000SEK / 2,000NOK / 800RON) per month, after which there will be a 2% fee applied to further ATM withdrawals until the end of the month. For example, if you withdrew £250 in one month, this would only cost you £1.

I understand but it kinda negates the point of using revolut as a bank account which is what I thought you were aiming for. If ATM withdrawals were free in account currency I would close my Barclays account and use revolut for everything

I was charged £2.99 by the ‘free atm’ to withdraw £20 from my revolut account. This is the explanation I received from the ATM bank - ‘ The cash machine itself is free to use for debit cards and selected Visa/MasterCard’s.

The particular card you have used is recognised as International due to Revolut being able to load any currency onto the card. Therefore this cannot be considered a normal debit or domestic card.
