Since Revolut is a big fintech company in Europe, it would be a great addition to be the launch bank of Apple Card. Of course this will be a Debit card, but with all the perks they offer in the USA (cashback/discount).
Since the cashback program for the Apple Card is funded by
– interchange that’s about 10 x higher in the US and
– interest from the revolving credit,
your idea would literally take away almost all of the bank’s revenue but would still keep the benefits for the customer? I don’t think there’s a realistic chance for this.
When you put it that way it is indeed a hard way. The only benefit could be discount/cashback on Apple products and Apple store. Its a good thing interchange fees are low in Europe, but those products are probably made because of those fees I guess.
