I think it is not good to lock the default currency for payment based on the country of the residence.
I think it should be allowed for users to select the dafault currency by themselves.
For example, I am preferable to pay in CHF while I am living the france. Because of my country of residence is france, revolut primarily choose EUR which is not what i want. In order for me to change to CHF, i needed to change my address to Swiss which was okay for me.
I believe many people would like to have their own choice of default currency for their payments.
