Account not usable

After having added a new Maestro card for top up, the app stopped. When starting the app again, I get a screen saying ‘Please help us keep your account safe.’ There are no possibilities to use any function of the app (also support chat does not work). What went wrong? The account needs to get reset?

Hi,

Ocassionally when the new card is added for top up, the system locks the app and asks you to verify your card. The quickest way is to click on the text “Please help us keep your account safe” and then the app will ask you for:

  • the unique 4-digit code you should have gotten in the description line of the last transaction with that card (like Revolut.com0000)

  • then you will need to scan your card with the app and your account will be immediately unlocked.

If you are unable to do this, you need to contact Revolut either here or try on Facebook, and they will do it manually for you after you have submitted the proof from your bank that the card is indeed yours.
